We are looking for a self-motivated, high performing individual to take charge of several aspects of human resources within GIE Media. Some of the responsibilities will include the following:

  • Maintain the company manual
  • Organize training sessions in various departments

Qualifications for the position include:

  • University Degree in Human Resource Management or a degree in a non-related field with equivalent work experience in HR

  • The ability to prepare correspondence and documents with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

Cleveland-based GIE Media, an industry-leading b-to-b media company, seeks a Senior Editor to write and/or assign feature articles and columns, content and copy edit, help manage print production, as well as help steer the editorial direction of a b-to-b print magazine in the rapidly growing cannabis industry. Degree in Journalism, English or Communications required. Three to five years' magazine- and/or news-writing and editing experience, as well as experience overseeing editorial staff or freelance writers strongly preferred.

Currently seeking a seasoned b-to-b journalist to work within our environmental services and recycling group. Ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years trade publication experience. Position includes, but is not limited to:

  • Working with publisher and editorial team on strategic content development and brand positioning
  • Writing features monthly
  • Posting stories and writing original content for our Web sites
  • Edit copy for both digital and print
  • Working with design team on the layout of each issue
  • Working with the editor on monthly story assignments
  • Assist in planning and implementing face-to-face and virtual events
  • Manage freelancers and freelance budget
  • Travel to attend trade shows, client meetings and other industry events (approx. once a month)
